For seniors, we offer assistance with daily living, light housekeeping, and errand running—helping them stay independent and live with dignity in the comfort of their own homes. Household Chores
$47/Hour
A CareFairy can transform your household routine by taking care of everyday chores with a touch of kindness and efficiency. We can help with:
- Decluttering and Organizing: Creating order out of chaos in closets, cabinets, or other areas of your home.
- Cleaning: Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and tidying up to keep your home feeling fresh and welcoming.
- Laundry and Linens: Washing, folding, and organizing clothes, as well as changing bed linens for a cozy, clean space.
- Kitchen Upkeep: Washing dishes, cleaning countertops, and organizing pantries to make mealtime stress-free.
- Errands and Shopping: Picking up groceries, prescriptions, or other essentials, so you can reclaim your time (travel rates apply).
- Meal Preparation: Prepping ingredients to make breakfast, lunch or dinner a breeze.
- Inventory: Manage and report on the levels of consumables in the home. Groceries, cleaning products, paper products such as paper towels and toilet paper.

Errands
$47/Hour plus $1/km
A CareFairy takes the stress out of your to-do list by handling errands with care and efficiency. We can assist with:
- Grocery Shopping: Picking up your groceries, including special items or dietary needs, and ensuring your pantry is well-stocked.
- Prescription Pickups: Managing trips to the pharmacy to keep your medications on schedule.
- Mail and Packages: Dropping off outgoing mail, picking up deliveries, or sending packages for you.
- Dry Cleaning and Laundry Services: Dropping off and picking up dry cleaning or laundry to keep you looking your best.
- Retail Shopping: Purchasing household essentials, clothing, or other specific items you need.
- Banking or Bill Payments: Making bank deposits or ensuring bills are paid on time.
- Special Requests: Handling unique errands, like returning library books, picking up gifts, or anything else you need help with.
With a CareFairy, you can trust your errands are completed promptly and thoughtfully, giving you back valuable time and peace of mind.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is a CareFairy subject to a criminal record check?
Yes. CareFairy team members are subject to a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (PIC-VS) which includes not only criminal records but also local police information, potentially encompassing details like outstanding warrants, charges, and occurrences within a specific jurisdiction, making the PIC-VS more comprehensive than a simple criminal record check. It’s required for positions where someone will be working with vulnerable individuals like children or the elderly; essentially, it’s a more thorough background check used when a position involves a high level of trust with at-risk people.
Does a CareFairy undergo any training?
Yes. A CareFairy is carefully selected from a pool of team members who have completed the care-oriented training program of our parent company, ZOOM. From these we select the best of the best. Only individuals with a proven work history and a track record that demonstrates reliability, empathy and compassion are invited to “earn their wings” and become a CareFairy.
Is there any commitment or contract involved?
No. There is no contract or agreement to sign. Your CareFairy will work hard to earn your trust and business with every visit. We are happy to help once, once in a while, or on a regular schedule.
Will the same CareFairy attend my home?
Consistency is core to our service. We strive to keep the same CareFairy in your home; they get to know you and how you like things done, there is an efficiency that comes with the familiarity they have with you, and there is an opportunity for trust to develop. Should your regular CareFairy not be available for some reason (illness, holidays), we can send another team member for that visit if you wish, or we can reschedule that visit for you.
What are the cancellation penalties?
We don’t have any; we don’t believe in punishing our customers. We kindly request 24 hour notice if you wish to cancel or postpone a visit; we also recognize that sometimes life happens and certain situations are beyond your control.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes. Based on B.C. labour law, there is a minimum requirement of 2 hours, or $94 (plus GST).
What forms of payment do you accept?
We ask for payment by credit card. Should you decide to proceed with service, Ali our Home Experience Coordinator will give you a call and request your credit card information. We will not charge your card until we follow up after our first visit, and we know that you are happy with the service your Care Fairy provided.
Can a Care Fairy use my cleaning supplies?
Yes, this is our preferred arrangement. We are happy to use your equipment and products for our housekeeping duties in your home.
Is there anything a Care Fairy is unable to do?
Yes. While we want to accommodate your needs to the best of our ability, there are a few things we are unable to help with:
- Electrical, plumbing or any general trade work.
- Lawn or garden maintenance.
- Any work requiring the use of a ladder.
- Painting.
- Full meal cooking (although we are happy to help with preparation!).
- Child care.
- Carpet cleaning.
- Medical care or treatment.
